"On resume, display welcome screen" missing?

Display Welcome Screen

There is a circumstance when the option above missing from Screen Saver Properties. The only option that is available would be "On resume, password protected". With such option, user only able to get a classic logon screen asking for password instead of User Welcome Screen when coming back from Screen Saver, even user has enabled "Use the Welcome Screen" and "Use Fast Switching Screen" options under User Accounts.

This could be annoying. When an administrator left the computer, other user who wish to use the computer temporarily as a guest could not do so. Windows only allow the "Administrator" or the previous logon user to unlock the account. No other people could use the Windows unless they know the password.

A solution to this is to create a new limited user account under Windows XP instead of using the default Guest account.

Turn off the Guest Account and create a limited user account

A new user account can be created by going to Control Panel > Users Accounts > Create a new account.
