If you have ever met such situation before, NEVER EVER trust the warning and download single software from the link. It is a sign that your computer is already infected by the their trojan, and trojan spreaders ask you to download the fake antivirus software provided by themselves as well.

After all, it is best to prevent than cure. Never click on any suspected link on website or link from your IM buddies (they can be the victim of trojan spreading) or open suspected file. Unless you are pretty sure with the content, or your OS could be ruined before your real antivirus awares of the malware.
